Yala City Municipality Youth Orchestra performs for Princess Sirindhorn : 03 May 2013
The Yala City Municipality Youth Orchestra performed for HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn during her recent visit to the grand opening of the Classic Kameo Hotel Ayutthaya. Dean Weerasak Aksornteang of Songkhla Rajabhat University (standing middle, dark suit) conducted the performance, while Yala Mayor Pongsak Yingchoncharoen (standing 9th right, light brown suit) accompanied the Princess.
Yala City Municipality Youth Orchestra was a youth program initiated by Yala Mayor Pongsak Yingchoncharoen, with the support of Dean Sukree Charoensuk of Mahidol University's College of Music, and the Deputy Prime Minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong. The band was officially established on February 2, 2008 with an aim to sooth the minds of the Yala youths, and encourage ethics and morality with the help of music. |

Networking Seminar on Preventing Illegal Animal Trafficking : 19 February 2013
Mr.Tirapongse Pangsrivongse (front row 3rd left), President of the Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TSPCA), recently hosted a seminar entitled “How to use the Animal Torture Prevention and Welfare Provision Act to Prevent Illegal Animal Trafficking”, which was presided over by MP Nikorn Chamnong (front row 6th left), Chairman of the Extraordinary Committee on Drafting the Animal Torture Prevention and Welfare Provision Act and attended by some 100 participants from various animal welfare agencies as well as entertainers from the RS Label. The purpose of the workshop, held at Kantary Bay Hotel, Rayong, was to share their encounters with animal cruelty and brainstorm solutions to the problem. |
